Executive Advisor
$85,000 – $110,000 | Auckland Central
We’re looking for an experienced Executive Advisor that will bring expertise, coordination and professionalism to this role that directly supports the Board and Senior Leaders.
Based in the Office of the Chief Executive this role is a blend of governance support, board coordination and quality compliance. You will work closely with the Board, Senior Leaders, and internal teams to ensure our operations are efficient, transparent and aligned with best practice.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating board meetings, supporting board members in fulfilling their duties, maintaining governance records, and handling official information requests, all while providing assistance to the Chief Executive's office.
Key responsibilities
Provide daily support for the Commission’s Board, including meeting logistics, onboarding and governance documentation
Support management, planning of board meetings, including working with the CE to plan and agree forward agendas, finalise papers within timeframes and minute meetings
Deliver high-quality registrar services to an independent panel and help coordinate hearings
Support compliance and ministerial reporting, including responding to official information requests and coordinate quarterly and annual reporting
Contribute to internal policies, risk management and strategic projects across the Commission

Strong organisational skills and confident juggling multiple workstreams
A strong communicator, with a keen eye for detail and formatting
Discreet, trustworthy and experienced managing confidential material
Politically and culturally astute, with a collaborative professional approach
Ideal Experience & Skills
Proven experience supporting boards or leadership teams
Strong grasp of governance and reporting requirements
Comfortable working with systems; Stellar or other Board platforms
