About you:

Reporting to their Lead Lawyer, you will be responsible to provide legal advice on disciplinary & competence matters to their dedicated Complaints Assessment Committee and other in-house staff.  You will be seen as a main contributor to the wider professional body ensuring that communication, standards & policies are adhered to both internally & externally.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will come with the following:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a practising lawyer

  • Ideally, but not essential - experience working within a regulatory environment

  • Litigation experience in court desirable

  • Competency and interest in Tikanga, Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and Te Reo Māori would be an advantage

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
