Project Manager - Education Research
$60 – $78 (per hour) | Wellington Central
Our client has recently secured a contract to design and implement a kaupapa Māori research and monitoring programme for the Education sector.
Reporting will begin fortnightly from October, with the first major deliverable due in March. The project team will be a mix of existing research specialists, alongside new talent to be brought in over the coming months.
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager from the Education sector who can establish the frameworks needed to meet the service level agreement and key deliverables. Once these are in place, the project will transition into BAU, with leadership and the wider team taking ownership.
Essential skills and experience:
We need a skilled kaupapa Māori project manager
Proven project management experience within the Education sector, with an understanding of working effectively with kura, iwi, hapū and central government
Fluency or strong capability in Te Reo Māori
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Risk management and budget management for projects
You must have proven experience managing a complex project from start to finish.
This is a three-month contracting opportunity, focused on getting the project successfully off the ground. There is potential for further work, but future opportunities will depend on the success of this initial engagement.
This is a unique and meaningful project, requiring someone who can draw on their education sector knowledge to hit the ground running and deliver impact quickly. We are aiming for a start in early October.
To apply, please submit your CV highlighting your project set-up expertise, education sector background, and proficiency in Te Reo Māori along with a covering letter.
Please note: only applicants with the legal right to work in New Zealand will be considered for this role.
