As the Policy and Tender Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation’s operational and strategic position as a leader in social services. This role requires a unique balance of business acumen, strategic communication, and operational delivery, ensuring our client continues to deliver a meaningful, sustainable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the bid process from qualification through to submission. This includes playing a hands-on role for bid/RFP/RFI proposals and project management.
Lead the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to support quality, compliance, and service excellence.
Ensure policy alignment with organisational, sector, and government standards.
Prepare and manage high-quality tender submissions, bids, and proposals, ideally including financial modelling.
Lead stakeholder engagement with key government agencies and partners to strengthen understanding and content requirement for the bid and tender process.
Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and best practice.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Strong experience in tendering, bid writing, and proposal development across government and community sectors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report, policy, and tender writing.
The ability to problem solve and think critically.
Proven ability to design and align policies and procedures to drive best practice and meet service standards.
Proven ability to interpret complex tender requirements and position proposals strategically.
Demonstrated success engaging with key government stakeholders.
High-level planning, organisational, and project coordination skills.
A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence and build trust.
This is an 18-month fixed term contract, to reflect crucial funding and contractual timings for our client.
